100 Cats Update
On October 3rd, we shared the story of 100 cats arriving at our shelter from a single apartment in Federal Way. Over the next several days, our dedicated Animal Control partners worked hard to capture and transport the cats to our shelter for the care they urgently needed.
After two weeks, the total number of cats from this one apartment has risen to over 130.
75 of them are now in loving foster homes, receiving plenty of affection and care as they await their spay/neuter surgeries before becoming available for adoption, and some have already been adopted into loving families!
We are incredibly grateful to our community for your outpouring of support. Thank you to everyone who donated to help us manage this urgent influx of pets, to our wonderful foster families for giving so many of these cats a safe place to stay, to our amazing volunteers for their time and hard work, and to our dedicated staff who have been working tirelessly to provide the best possible care for these cats.
The cats' stories are still unfolding, and your continued support makes all the difference!
